Wedding Photography Frequently Asked Questions
What is reportage wedding photography or wedding photojournalism?
Reportage or photojournalism is where the photographer remains in the background capturing the
natural atmosphere of your event from beginning to end. As a reportage specialist this allows
me the creativity to record the magic of your wedding or event as it happens.
Reportage photography or photojournalism has the advantage of allowing you more time to spend
with your guests.
I offer a flexible package that is tailored to your requirements.
This could be an exclusive photojournalism service or a rich blend of formally posed pictures.
Do you offer black and white photography at the wedding?
Yes, I can offer a mix of colour and black and white photographs.
I use black and white films in order to obtain the best quality
of black and white images. My black and white pictures can
be individually hand printed in order to give the highest
quality.
How many photographs do we get?
It really depends on the wedding package that you choose.
It will typically vary between 150 to 500 photographs. I specialise
in producing superb quality images capturing the day. I do
not then produce selection of 'Proofs' as the couple will
receive all the photographs taken on the day.
Do you use digital cameras?
No. At the moment I use professional grade film cameras as
these provide the greatest flexibility and quality. I am able
to copy all images onto a CD if required.
How many photographers attend the wedding?
One - I offer you my personal photography services and I do not sub-contract to other photographers.
How soon do I have to book?
I suggest that you book as soon as possible as I do
get booked up in advance. Before a booking I am always pleased
to attend a no obligation meeting with you to fully discuss
your requirements.
Deposit?
A deposit is required in order to secure your booking, the balance
to be paid 7 days before the event.
Do you cover same sex weddings?
Yes, I am happy to photograph same sex marriages and ceremonies.
Do you undertake other photographic assignments?
Yes, I have a background in photojournalism and am quite happy
to cover other events like christenings, parties etc.
What contingency plans do you offer?
In the very unlikely event that I am ill on the day
I will provide a back-up photographer. I always have back-up cameras
available.
